WELCOME

Welcome to the official site for Northeast Ga Storm Chasing. Here you will find detail about our organization and all the amazing programs we have underway. You will also find some great educational materials on how to prepare for and stay safe when severe weather strikes in your neighborhood. Northeast Ga Storm Chasing has recently partnered with the TORCON Wx Team as well as Texas Vortex 2.O and many independent storm chasers who are all working towards the same goal and that is to increase warning times and to save lives. Together with these wonderful organizations we make up the larges private group of storm chasers and weather spotters in the nation who work 24hrs a day to bring you amazing edge of your seat content and Severe weather Alerts and Warnings in real time, no matter where you live in the country. We have you covered from coast to coast.

We are a 100% volunteer organization and every member of our team are trained and certified SKYWARN Weather spotters. We also mandate extensive in house training for all of our staff to ensure that we are reporting the most accurate information possible to the National Weather Service and local Emergency Management Officials. Our chase teams all go through rigorous training before they are allowed to go solo and chase storms for our organization. Storm Chasing is a very dangerous activity but it is also very rewarding! Storm chasers and spotters play a pivotal roll in weather forecasting. They are the eyes and ears on the ground who can put eyes on a storm and report directly to the national weather service what it is doing. Our members are trained and know how storms work, and they know what to look for.

Out teams are equipped with state of the art equipment and weather sensors to help them understand what a storm is doing and where it is going. We are able to track our members via GPS and know where they are at all times and alert them to any sudden changes in the storms movement. Once the storm has passed our teams go into search and rescue mode and provide first aid to the injured. All teams have first aid supplies and specialized search and rescue equipment like robots and borescope cameras that help them look deep into collapsed structure looking for survivors and asses their injuries.  Our trademarked slogan CHASE-WARN-RESCUE are more than words, it is what we do! The moment we encounter damaged homes our chase is over and we go into rescue mode.

We have experienced fire fighters, EMT's, and Paramedics on our team who carry advanced first aid and trauma supplies. Storm Chasers are usually the first on the scene of tornado damage and we are able to direct emergency services to areas hit by the storm. All teams have advanced communications in their chase vehicles including GMRS/Ham radios, satellite communications and omni directional 5g signal boosters attached to the top of our units that help provide real time connections even in the most rural of areas where cell service is lacking. We are ready 24/7 to head out and help warn our communities of any danger. It's really all about saving lives!
